The Blueline Police boot is the new generation of the Alt-berg police boot which have been in service with UK police forces since 1994. Certified to BS EN 20347:2012

The main improvements are:

• The A-forme (asymetric) last (foot shape) is much improved, narrower heel and more natural forefoot shape with toe spring, based on running shoe technology, the narrower heel with reduced heel slip (which can cause blisters on the heel)
• Increased ankle protection with full 2.4mm Anfibio leather
• flex area above instep around leg to give complete Achilles flex and more comfort
• Re-design of tongue leather to improve 'water run off' and better lacing comfort
• Lower leg designed for enhanced mobility and comfort

The Blueline Microlite boot was developed during 2018/2019 and the result is a better fitting boot with improved mobility for running, patrolling, and vehicle use, ideal for active police officers, military police and patrol personnel.

The boot has stronger lateral support for increased ankle stability on uneven ground. Many of the materials used in Alt-bergs Blueline boots are the same as the original Peacekeeper, so they are tried and tested since 1994.

Altberg use top quality full grain leather and it is essential that they are treated regularly with Leder-Gris in order to keep the leather supple and water resistant. We recommend that you don't use other boot polish such as Kiwi or Cherry Blossom etc.

Width - A Forme - slightly wide forefoot, spring at toe and narrow heel and waist.

Upper - 2.4mm full grain Anfibio® water repellent leather (foot and heel)
1.8mm soft supple full grain water repellent leather (leg and tongue)

Lining - Forefoot: spacer mesh, maximum breathability and zero moisture retention.
Lining, Heel: Cambrelle® breathable, absorbent, for all day comfort

Mid Sole - Tri-Flex® 1-2 season, a combination of medium flex and torsional resistance,
excellent 'all day' comfort, mid sole is shaped to each individual size to enhance all day support and reduce foot fatigue

Sole - Altberg Rhino – shock absorbing full deep rubber surround and hiking boot tread,
tested for slip resistance and oil & acid resistance to BSEN 20345

If you are in doubt about your size, if you have narrow feet stick to your shoe size. For medium/wide feet it is worth trying a half size larger than you take in shoes, you will probably be wearing thicker socks with boots. The aqua version of the Altberg P1 Peacekeeper is available but you don't need AQUA boots for normal duty (unless you are hiking through streams etc) and they can also be very warm on the feet particularly in the summer.
